From Bali, Jakarta, Lombok, Flores there are daily flights to Kupang (Timor), which is the biggest city close to Rote Island. From Kupang you can easily get a fast boat (one hour and fifty minutes) or a flight (half hour) to Rote. From the airport and the harbour to Nemberala is about 45 minutes.
